Grocery shopping for selected meals is generally done at area supermarkets, specialty shops & health food stores. If you have a particular preference or favorite store ~ your Personal Chef will gladly shop there. Groceries are not always included in prices so that you have the option to request such items as organic produce or chicken, grass fed beef or other specialty food items. We own Falster Farm and grow strictly Natural & Organic, so we understand when folks have different likes. You let us know what you prefer & we'll do the shopping! Based on your heating preference, meals will be packaged either in freezable and microwavable containers or freezable glass containers for the oven. Pricing for service does not include containers. Appropriate containers will be purchased and added to the cost of groceries. You can choose either to reuse them or use disposables for each service. Packaging options will be discussed at your initial assessment. Chef Nancy prefers to store your meals fresh, not forzen. Who can use a Personal Chef? Anyone who wants to enjoy delicious home cooked meals in the comfort and safety of their own home without the hassle & stress of menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking & cleaning. Clients range from busy families, working couples & career-oriented singles to retired Seniors, ready to get out of the kitchen. Do you provide gift certificates? Yes! Gift certificates are a wonderful way to say "thank you" or "I love you" and are perfect for any occasion. When you give a gift of a personal chef service, you'll give a gift that your special someone can really use ~ convenience, extra time & delicious home cooked meals! What programs do you have for children? You know, The San Antonio Express News has run numerous articles (dated 12-8 thru 12-14, 02) about the crisis of FAT CHILDREN today and the problem is becoming epidemic in proportion. Obesity is not fun for anyone, so we have in conjunction with the research efforts of the Foundation for Christian Alternatives, produced a children's project we call: "Miners in Motion."® "Miners in Motion"® is a short course in culinary and fitness – held in the privacy and safety of the child's home or neighborhood clubhouse.
